T-levels are one of the core three options available to students who have completed their GCSEs. They are equivalent to 3 A levels, focusing on vocational skills. T-levels run over two years and are a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on the job’ experience.
To make sure T-Levels provide the relevant learning to meet the needs of industry, they have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses. Your course will be split approximately 80% study in the classroom and 20% in an industry placement, giving you the chance to gain invaluable work based skills.
There are a wide range of subjects to choose from, including Business and Administration, Digital, Construction, Education and Childcare, Engineering and Manufacturing, Finance and Health and Science. You will learn core concepts, theories and princples relevant to the industry subject, plus Maths, English and Digital Skills will also be integrated where needed. A minimum of 45 days will then be spent in an Industry placement where you will develop the technical skills and knowledge in a workplace environment.
