Welcome to our February Youth Hub Devon Dashboard update. It’s starting to feel a bit like spring with daffodils popping up everywhere. This month we are seeing more self-referrals again, and we have some exciting news. The Youth Hub will be moving. From 3 April 2023 we will be based at Exeter Library.
What is the dashboard? This shows information about how many young people we are helping in Devon, where they are now, and who we are helping.
The statistics in February 2023:
- Young people supported – 464
- Young people placed – 189 (41%)
- Young people who are now in employment – 61%
- Young people who went on to do a kickstart* – 32%
- Young people with are now in education and training – 5%
- Young people who are now in apprenticeships – 3%
About our young people:
- 37% have additional support needs**
- 30% are claiming benefits**
- 66% are from EX1, EX2 and EX4 postcodes**
- 48% are aged 16-18**
* The kickstart scheme ended in 2022
