Trainee Success for Emma
Name: Emma
Traineeship with: Train4All and Vistry Partnership
Emma’s Story: Emma completed a plastering apprenticeship when she left school and passed with flying colours. Since leaving the programme, she unfortunately lost her placement due to lack of work and began doing odd jobs to ensure an income was maintained.
Throughout the COVID pandemic, Emma has struggled to find work and was disheartened that she would never be able to get back working in construction, the industry she loves.
Emma signed up for a 19-24 Traineeship Routeway 2 Construction programme with Train4All. She attended the Vistry Partnership Skills Academy in Alphington in Exeter for 8 weeks and spent time learning and practising additional site labouring skills whilst demonstrating her commitment to working on site through work experience. Vistry Partnerships were so impressed with Emma’s skills and dedication to the
industry, that they offered her a position as a Trainee Assistant Site Manager with Vistry Partnerships in Barnstaple.
Emma has proven that the Traineeship programme, amazing real on-site experience, a supportive employer, and plenty of hard work and determination, really does pay off.
Train for all said: “We are all so proud! Good luck in your new Job Emma, we look forward to watching your career flourish.”
Emma said: “I can’t thank everyone enough, I would recommend this course to anyone, just amazing learning and to be on-site where there are real jobs is just so much better than sitting in a classroom. I am excited to start my Vistry career, thank you for the opportunity.”
