The Kickstart Scheme provides the opportunity for young people to be employed with a local company for 6 months to get hands-on experience. In Exeter, we are already working with a large number of local employers across different sectors to provide the right placement for you.

In addition to this, you will also have access to training to improve your employability skills, such as CV writing, interview tips and how to work in a team.

If you are aged 16 to 24, and claiming Universal Credit, you can apply for a Kickstart placement. If you have a work coach, they will talk to you about the scheme and whether it is right for you.
